Remedy Drive Joins Hands with Community for Benefit Concert

Ringing in the New Year will be celebrated in many different ways, but for Remedy Drive it will start with helping a family raise money. The group will participate in a benefit concert for Aaron and Jennifer Thompson who are adopting orphaned siblings from the Philippines.

The event will be held at Freeman Academy in Freeman, South Dakota on January 1, 2009. Remedy Drive will join with the Thompson family, friends and local businesses to help in this community effort.

Remedy Drive Continues its Quest of Hope

Creighton has become an annual stop for Christian rock band Remedy Drive, but Sunday's show will be a little different than in previous years.

When brothers David, Paul, Phillip and Daniel Zach perform at Faith, Hope and Love Fellowship, they'll be performing as artists on the Word Records roster.

Remedy Drive Plays for Hope

David Zach, the lead singer and guitarist for Remedy Drive, said in a phone interview, “I would hope that when we come to Eureka next week that for an hour we can put aside our worries about the economy and the war, and we can come together and celebrate the fact that we have a second chance. Not to worry about our failure, not to worry about tomorrow.” That’s what he thinks a rock concert should do.

Something More Than Rock

Remedy Drive is bringing its message of hope to Rapid City this weekend. And the band wants to know if you are ready to hear it.

“We are four guys that are searching for truth,” said David Zach. “What we have arrived at is an album with a message of hope.

“People need to just enjoy themselves for an hour, to get away from the broken economy, natural disaster, mortgages — to leave with a massive momentum in their lives that no matter what is happening in their lives, there is hope.”

Remedy Drive Interview
by Tracy Darlington

"I need security that has nothing to do with my health insurance or retirement plan. I want to live for a kingdom that doesn't run on foreign oil. I want to depend on grace and an economy I hear doesn't go into recession." -- David Zach

Remedy Drive is a four-piece, four-brother band (David, Philip, Paul and Dan Zach), Remedy Drive has been cranking out their own brand of music as a full time indie for the past 5 years. The band's debut release, "Daylight Is Coming" was produced by Ian Eskelin (All Star United)..

Behind the Songs

We always like to open an album or find song stories and hear a little more about each song than just what is on the disc. So here are the stories along with the lyrics to the new album.

Stand Up

This song reflects the idea that our failures and brokenness seem to have a voice that tells us we're nothing, incapable and worthless. Hopefully the melody will motivate listeners to stand up to such nonsense, realize our worth, and live like we can overcome …because we can. We don't have to remain fallen; we don't have to remain broken - our failures can't hold us down.

happy august 8, 2008 8:08 pm. it's not quite as monumental as y2k but i thought the moment should be recognized. it's a good day to be alive. we're back in our hometown for the evening. i'm working on putting up some 'fan photos' from facebook. people have been capturing some great moments. we had a good time in colorado, utah, nevada and california the past couple weeks. looking forward to seeing everyone at this weeks shows. i'll try to remember to keep this tradition going one year, one month, one day and a minute from this moment. see you soon.
